Little Hearts, Big Faith!
Children’s Ministry
Preschool–5th graders explore Jesus’ love through Bible activities on Sundays and Wednesdays, building knowledge and friendship with Christ.
In our Safe Gatherings certified program, kids participate in Bible dramas, music, games, journaling, prayer, and occasional snacks—learning to share God’s grace.
Wednesday meetings run 6–7 PM from late August to mid-May (with holiday breaks), plus events like VBS (July), Back-to-School (August), movie nights (September), Fall Fest (October), and more.

Youth Ministries
Middle and High Schoolers (6th-12th grade) unite for Wednesday Night Alive at 6 PM for faith-building fellowship, games, and sharing the Good News—plus Sunday Youth Groups at 10:45 AM for extra inspiration and connection.

Morning Joy for Little Ones!
Parent’s Morning Out
Families with preschoolers (ages 1–kindergarten), recharge with our Christian-based, state-inspected Mother’s Morning Out program—Monday–Friday, 8:30–11:30 AM, following the Bolivar Public Schools calendar. Through Bible-centered fun, kids build social, emotional, and cognitive skills while discovering God’s love in a safe, nurturing space.

Sing His Praises Loud!
Choir
Praise God through song with our Adult Choir, performing weekly from September to June with a vibrant mix of classical, gospel, and contemporary pieces—plus inspiring cantatas at Christmas and Easter. Rehearsals are Wednesdays 7–8 PM in the sanctuary, blending joyful music, warm fellowship, and creative expression. Your voice belongs here—come sing with us!

Local Missions
Through our partnership with Community Outreach Ministries (COM), we support the PCCSM store, providing free clothing and household essentials to Polk County families in need via weekly income-based shopping (vouchers from COM or OACAC).
We also contribute volunteers and donations to the Food Pantry and the Community Christmas Market—continuing our 35-year legacy of compassion, helping feed and celebrate hundreds in our community.

Polk County Christian Supply Mission (PCCSM)
PCCSM stands as a cornerstone of care in our Bolivar community, offering a welcoming store stocked with free clothing, household essentials, and everyday needs for Polk County families. Open weekly to those who qualify by income, it’s a simple way to access dignity and support—no prices, no barriers, just compassionate provision. Signup is straightforward: visit COM or OACAC for a voucher showing your address, income, and household details, then shop as needed each week. Learn more
Spreading Holiday Hope in Polk County
Our partnership with Community Outreach Ministries brings the Community Christmas Market to life each year, replacing Share Your Christmas as our flagship holiday outreach. We continue the tradition of impact by providing donations and volunteers to help deliver gifts, meals, and joy to families in need—uniting churches, businesses, and our community in generosity that reflects God’s love. COM Food Pantry
Through our partnership with Community Outreach Ministries, we actively support the Food Pantry with generous food donations and dedicated volunteers—providing essential nourishment and dignity to families facing hunger in Polk County. A Legacy of Love, 35 Years Strong
Open Hearts UMC helped spark PCCSM’s beginnings 35 years ago, and we remain deeply invested, with church reps joining seven others on the board to guide its mission.
